Touhou Project: An Introduction
Touhou Project: Gameplay
Touhou Project: PC98
Touhou Project: Shmup 101
Touhou Project: Fandom
Touhou Project: Doujin Scene
Touhou Project: Music
Touhou Project: Literature
Touhou Project: Fangames
Touhou Project: Yuri

It may be a tad early to be making this topic but just in case some of you are already lurking the forums, here it is. A small introduction may be in order since things are a little different this year. Touhou Project now has a sub-event, The Hakurei Shrine Festival, which means there's no longer a limit of only one or two panels. We're currently working on a multitude of panels which will be presented as part of the sub-event. Here's what we hope to host-

Touhou Project: An Introduction
Touhou Project: Gameplay
Touhou Project: PC98
Touhou Project: Shmup 101
Touhou Project: Fandom
Touhou Project: Doujin Scene
Touhou Project: Music
Touhou Project: Literature
Touhou Project: Fangames
Touhou Project: Yuri

So we're making a call out for panelists here. If you want to be a Touhou Project panelist this year you can start by commenting here, shooting me a PM, contacting us at our official Otakuthon Email- touhou@otakuthon.com, commenting on our official facebook page, or by shooting danmaku in our general direction.

We're looking for a lot of different panelists with lots of different specialties so don't be shy about contacting us. Let us know what interests you and if you want to host a panel not on this list by all means suggest it as everything reasonable will be considered.

So, let's discuss Touhou panels for next year and figure this all out :>

A lot of the panels still have empty slots, so any help is much appreciated! If there's one in particular that catches your eye let us know Kogasa, if not maybe we could contact you closer to the con to help with one of the more neglected/specialized panels?

And I would never forget the photoshoots! There was a decent Touhou cosplay turnout last year but let's aim even higher this year. Going to be making Utsuho and Byakuren myself.

I would personally love being part of either the fandom or gameplay panel! If not, I'll help out wherever I may be needed.

I'd be up for doing a 90-minute Introduction panel. It would be run very similarly to the Touhou panels I've run for other conventions, since those are designed to appeal to both new and existing fans. All I'd need to do is 86 some of the in-jokes and add in more general information that's worth knowing.

The one catch is that I wouldn't be available to run it on Friday, since I'll be driving up from the states after work, and I'm about five hours away from Montreal. If you want the intro panel to be on Friday, I'll gladly step aside and let someone else do it.

EDIT: Actually, scratch that. I could do a Friday introduction panel if need be. I would much prefer Saturday, but I can take Friday off from work and come up Thursday evening for a Friday panel. I'd like a degree of advanced notice if that's the scheduling decision, though.

EDIT 2: It's also entirely possible that none of my usual panel posse will come with me. If that ends up being the case, Kogasa, would you mind being a co-panelist? I'll need someone to describe what's going on while I'm demonstrating the games, since I'll be too preoccupied to do it myself. We could also do a gameplay panel together, since you expressed enthusiasm for that. (Also, do you have a Shrinemaiden account? Your signature looks very familiar.)

Sure, I'd be happy to!

All around update!

There's not that much longer to register panels so if anyone is still interested in being a panelist it would be best to PM me very soon. It's also not too late register an original panel idea, but once again, act fast. If anyone is wondering which need panelists, here's a status update-

Introduction *open*
Gaming *closed* May consider a final panelist but this panel is specialized, contact.
Fandom *open*
Music *open*
Doujin *open*
Fangames *full*
Literature *open*
PC98 *open*

Yuri and Shmup 101 are no longer part of our programming. I'll try to get back to everyone who's posted and don't be shy to discuss or contact me with questions, concerns, danmaku battle challenges, ect.

Now that Otakuthon 2013 is all wrapped up we would love some feedback from you guys. If you attended any of the Touhou Project panels let us know what you think. We want to know what you enjoyed, what you maybe didn't like, really anything that could help us improve for next year. You can post here or if you want to keep it private simply pm me. Lastly, if anyone reading this wants to get involved with the Hakurei Shrine Festival next year and host some panels, please don't be shy.

Speaking of next year, please wait warmly as girls are preparing~
