What size do you print your artworks?

Hello!

It's my first time selling at a convention so I was wondering what sizes I should print on? And what sizes do people usually buy?

I have few that are 11x14 and some bigger ones that are going to be 11x17. Are these good dimensions or are smaller prints (less than 8.5x11) better?

Thanks for the help! :)

Currently I print in the following sizes: 12x18, 8.5x11, and 5x8.

12x18 is by far the better seller for me. You'll have to test the waters to figure out what works for you. I keep some 8.5x11 and 5x8 in case I run out of 12x18 or for people who don't hang posters/don't have space for them or for those who want to spend a smaller amount on a print.

11x17 is a good equivalent for 12x18 and seems to be more prevalent in Montreal print stores than anything larger.

Some artists I know don't sell good their 4x6, so I guess you should avoid this size ! My best seller are the 12x18, but when customers have a bit less money, they actually enjoy that I offer the same image in 8.5x11 !

Good luck !

Alright! Thanks for the answers! :D

I guess testing is the way to finding out. I'll make sure to keep some smaller size prints just in case too.

My advice is not to print lots of 4x6 / 5x7, my friend printed between 8-16 of each of her illustrations, 3 years ago, and she still have lot of them at 1$ discount price.
